First off, I was very excited yesterday when I found out that Holly from Where We Can Live Like Jack and Sally is reading my blog. I recently found her blog and it's quickly becoming one if my faves! Thank you for reading, Holly!
Last week, Mama Laughlin posted a pic on Instagram with a challenge called 'Be Present.' I immediately knew I needed to do this challenge because I am ADDICTED to social media, especially Facebook. It's gotten to the point where I can't go thirty minutes without checking my phone.
...and since I can't afford professional help, I'm gonna let Mama Laughlin's challenge be my therapy.
For the month of April, I will only check social media (Facebook, email, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.) from 6 am-7 pm on the weekdays. On the weekends, I will only check social media once in the morning and once in the evening.
I do have some exceptions to these rules. First, if I need to type a blog post in the evening, I'll go ahead and do it. Also, if there is a picture that I absolutely need to post on the weekends, I'll go ahead and post it.
My problem is the constant checking, so that's what I'll work on.
So Mama Laughlin, I accept your challenge
