I'm down three pounds!! I am positive this weight loss is because of the 15K race I ran on Saturday. Maybe the 9.3 miles jump started that scale CUZ IT HASN'T BEEN MOVIN' MUCH LATELY.
Actually, I had gotten on the scale Sunday morning and I was down 13 pounds from last Wednesday, which is not good. Later Saturday afternoon I ended up getting sick. I did not follow through with re-hydrating or eating the way I should after running the race. Lesson learned...the hard way.
I'm trying to eat better even if I'm still not logging my food in My Fitness Pal. Honestly, until the half marathon is over I don't think I'm going to pay real close attention to my calories. I'll continue making good choices. When the half is over at the end of April, I'll start focusing on my eating.
I wish I could just snap my fingers and be where I want physically. There are days when eating healthy is such. a. struggle.
I have come to the realization that the biggest part of my weight loss journey is undoing a lifetime of unhealthy habits. It's not an overnight process. It's a journey...and eventually I'll meet my goal. I just have to embrace the lessons I learn along the way.
